yes it is. Its 6.9/10 in relative grading.

Unless you're asked to translate your grades in to a GPA, it's best not to do so. The schools are familiar with Indian transcripts and which schools are more demanding than others. It's my understanding that a 6.9 is higher than a 2.7.

To answer your questions:

1) A higher AWA would be nice, but it's not worth retaking the GMAT for. You have a decent verbal score. Now write good essays.
2) Before I recommend schools, what do you want to do after your MBA? Any geographic preference?
3) They won't hurt anything, but they aren't terribly helpful.
4) Your essays. :-) Continue doing what you've been doing.

Best,
Linda

HI Linda

Thanks for the feedback. I am looking at Product Management as a career. Geography - American and Asian Bschools. Your thoughts on this?

I am not as familiar with the strengths of the Asian business schools as I am with the US and even European schools.

Dream: INSEAD(Singapore), Haas, Tuck
Competitive: Rotman, Ross, Duke, Cornell,
Safety: UT, Kelley

Thanks Linda! One query when you said "INSEAD (Singapore)". Are there different admissions for the three Insead Campuses?

No, but many people think of INSEAD as a European school and you had specified Asia. I wanted to make sure it was clear I knew there is INSEAD in Asia. :)
