I think you have a solid profile all around. "Old school" engineers (i.e. petroleum, civil, manufacturing, etc - or what I call "hard hat" engineers who work in old economy industries) tend to have more leadership experience than the engineers in IT, software/computers, wireless, etc. It's less about technical innovation and more about project leadership/execution compared to the techies - which does give you more to talk about in the essays.
You're competitive for all the schools you mentioned - in short, I think you should be able to get into at least some of them (if not all of them) - of course, no one can predict which specific schools you'll get into, but you're applying to the right range of schools where you should have a reasonable shot of matriculating at one of these schools next year.
It all comes down to how well you execute your written applications, and your interviews.
