Hi,
I would like to get into one of the top 10 B-Schools, but I really need your help in figuring out if I am close to reality.
My details -
--Undergrad - Electronics and Communication Engineering, India - GPA 3.9
--1 year work exp at a startup - as Business Analyst - India
--MS in Electrical Engineering at UIC, Chicago. I got admit with PhD and scholarship but then after getting my Masters I was not able to continue as my professor was leaving the Univ.
So my GPA was 3.14 counting all the other extra courses but only counting the GPA for courses required for masters is 3.44 ?? Please advice
--3 Years of work Exp as an Application Engineer in USA
--Aiming for GMAT - 720+
--Rotary club member for 3 years
Female, Indian, Age 28
What are my chances to get into top ones and what should I work on?
Any other feedback/suggestion/advice you have for my profile.

Schools will usually only ask you your cumulative GPA. In which case, your UGPA is 3.9, your grad GPA is 3.14 (not 3.44).
Reading what you wrote, you have a shot. Obviously, Harvard and NYU are a bit different on the top-10 spectrum (though both are consistently ranked in the top-10). Your chances at H/S/W are going to be significantly impacted only because of your background and work experience. A ton of Indians will be applying to these schools and while your numbers are great, you really will have to make a case for yourself. Where are your leadership abilities both in and out of work? Where impact have you done for your organization? These are all questions that you'll have to address in your applications. At any rate, at a first glance, you do have the numbers to make it to a top 10 b-school, full stop. However, you will still have to show a lot of underneath the surface information in your application to tell the AdComs that you are better than all of the other Indian engineers applying.

Thanks for your feedback. Could anyone please tell me top 5 univs that matches best to my profile or there is nothing like a best match..and its subjective?
