Hi, Linda!
I am applying for MS accounting for next spring, but my gpa has become huge obstacle for me, any advise would be helpful!!

Here's my situation.


Mediocre State School in NY (econ major)
GPA 2.6 (here is my huge problem but i have 3.2 major GPA)
GMAT - First Try- 600 (49Q/23V) Second - in 2 weeks
No work exp

Target schools
BARUCH(Zicklin)
UIUC
**COLUMBIA**

I really wish to get into baruch since they have good reputation in accounting field in NYC area and tuition is very affordable. But I know my gpa is low 10% of their range(According to their student profile) so i am trying to offset my gpa(hopefully) by gmat score. I am retaking my second gmat test in two weeks (aiming for 650 or higher, hoping to get 700). I wish you could tell my chances getting into baruch college, or any suggestions for other school I have to consider.

Let's just wait until you get your GMAT score. Hopefully it will be above Zicklin's average and then we'll have something to talk about. Obviously it's your verbal that is the issue.
