Hi, I would like to get your thoughts on the competitiveness of my profile for top 10 schools. I'm going to be applying to 5-6 mostly top-10 schools. I'd also like to hear any advice you have as to what I can say on my applications that might make my story more cohesive and that adcoms will like.

White, non-hispanic male, age 27

GMAT: 770 (Q:50, V:46)

Education: undergrad 3.74 GPAT at top 25 private school
Grad in accounting, 3.60 at same school

Work Experience: 4 years of auditing at a big 4 accounting firm
By the time I apply I'll have 1 year of startup experience. I helped found a company that is in the process of being sold and I'm working at another startup at the moment.

Extracurriculars: During college: had a couple different jobs, held a chair position at our business fraternity, captained a couple of intramural sports teams, lived in Spain for a semester, served as a spanish interpreter at a medical clinic, played classical piano and performed consistently, placed in school competitions, and gave a large senior recital

After college: Continue to perform classical piano regularly around where I live, I've helped out with fundraising for the United Way, Junior Achievement and the American Heart Association; nothing really that has saved the world though

Post-MBA Goals: Strategic consulting, with energy being my desired industry for the long-term

I appreciate your input. Thanks!

It looks like you have an excellent application (congrats on the fantastic GMAT score!).

For your application, what an admissions team is going to be looking for are your leadership experiences and the impact you have made. I recommend identifying 1-2 experiences that exemplify this and going in-depth on these.

I believe this link should be of benefit: ... BA-program

Hope this was of help.
