Thanks for the advice Linda! I'll definitely look into these schools.

One question about my GMAT. I think if I re-take the GMAT, I can maybe get a 710-720, anything higher I believe will be unrealistic. Will an extra 20-30 points help my case that much?

As for my WE I think my achievements are quite significant. I was the first analyst to be promoted to senior analyst out of my cohort, I serve as a mentor to new analysts starting this year, and I was key in fostering relationships with one of our clients, awarding us the contract. (I am asking the customer to write one of my letters of rec)

I am pretty much putting my chips on my WE and references letters to offset the below average GMAT and GPA.

Please be aware that some elite MC firms, use the GMAT score as a screening tool, and they want it to start with a 7 .

I can't say that those 20-30 points will certainly be the difference between acceptance and rejection. It can make a difference I'm sure. It may also make a difference in terms of scholarship money.

Again, I can't guarantee it, and your impressive work experience, plus the fact that Berkeley is known for pretty tough grading would mitigate. However if you believe you can get 20-30 points more, the prudent route is to retake.

Sorry.

Best,
Linda
