Hmm, on paper it's a BIT of a hit but, in all honesty, it's the same thing when someone from McKinsey is an Associate versus a Manager from some Fortune 500 company. It really comes down to what you did. As for the naturalization component, if that was the ONLY reason you weren't an officer then that's really not a big deal. At the end of the day, having a fancy title is nice and all but it's about what you've done with it that really counts!
