Hi All,
I gave my GMAT recently and got a 690 (Q49, V35, IR6, AWA5.5). I am thinking of applying to six to seven schools. Some of which are as follows:
Tepper, Kelley, UCLA, Fuqua, Mays, UC Irvine.
My work profile goes as follows:
Work Experience (WE): 96 months
Industry: Oil and Gas/Manufacturing
Function: Information Technology/IT Consulting
Technical Expertise: ERP, PeopleSoft, Oracle
Projects: Various big projects (in leadership roles) to improve services
Profile: Managing and coordinating teams scattered around the globe (India, US, UK, Brazil, Norway and Australia) to deliver IT services to our internal customers.
Interactions with: Internal customers/business heads/Corporate leads
Certifications: Six Sigma, Leading High Performance Teams (LHPT)
GPA: Close to 3.7
Extracurricular Activities: Founded of a social initiative (Prayaas) to impart education in villages. Co-Founded a cloud based service (servehr.com) targeting start-ups and small sized organizations. District level( under-18) basketball player.
After graduating, I am looking to be placed in a technology company.
Considering my profile, schools selected, and my GMAT score, what are the chances of get at least 100% scholarship in any of the colleges? So which college would be the best?

Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed reading your profile. I reviewed your profile similar to other candidates' profiles when I worked in admissions.
You have a solid converted GPA and GMAT score of 690. I would recommend not re-taking the GMAT if you are applying to R2, but take the next 1-2 months to refine your other application components. If you want to proceed and re-take the GMAT, then please leave yourself enough time to work thoroughly on your applications to these programs. Remember, the GMAT is one component and may increase your chance but a higher score does not necessarily guarantee admissions.
While I understand your concern for only applying to schools that will grant a scholarship, try to keep this as independent as possible to the choice of schools you apply to. When you graduate from a reputable program, your compensation will help alleviate much of that debt. In fact, I request that you think of it this way: If you were accepted at Fuqua without any scholarship…would you attend and try to raise funds? Or if you were accepted at Kelley without any scholarship, would you still want to attend and try to raise funds?
Hope this helps you make the right decision. I speak from experience. Last year, we successfully placed candidates at Fuqua and Tepper who received scholarships. Some of these admits are now MAC Fellows, given their positive experience. They are available to directly share their application experience with you.

I am bit confused about school selection now. Based on my profile, and my interest to pursue Technology Consulting, post-MBA, which schools you feel I should target where I will be more competitive vis-a-vis other candidates.
