To comment on your question, I have gotten couple job offers from other insurance brokers or a junior underwriter position at a reinsurance company in the past, so I do not think finding such jobs would not be too hard even if I start now.
However, rather than focusing on the immediate career change, I find MBA necessary in the long term as I move up to more senior positions.
Considering that, I feel like right now is the right time to apply for MBA. (while I am still single with no other family members to support)
I have also looked into couple of such programs you mentioned (such as CASS Msc programs in Insurance, Columbia's Masters in actuarial science program and etc.), but I prefer to choose MBA mainly because I want to use it as an opportunity to network with people outside of insurance industry, and also for the prestigious school titles.
Would love to hear some of your thoughts on this!
