GMAT- Not taken but aiming for 730. Took GRE when I applied to grad school in 2017 (167 Q, 159 V)
Undergrad - BSc in Biomedical Sciences (First Class Honors - WES Evaluated 3.94/4.00)
Grad - Top MPH Program in Health Policy and Management in the U.S.
Work Experience - 2 years by Fall 2022 or 3 year by Fall 2023

Full time Consulting Firm Focused on Life Sciences (Shanghai Office) - Joined Summer of 2020
Internship at a Tier 2 Consulting Firm's Healthcare Practice in Chicago
Internship at Boutique Life Sciences Consulting Firm in London
Professional Experience (<1 Year So Far)
- Market Access Evaluation for American pharma company
- Collaborated closely with the U.S. Office
- Conducted expert interviews with Chinese doctors
- Built models to estimate the size of the China market for a drug
- Completed the project solo when senior analyst left due to health reason
- Market Access Evaluation for American pharma company 2.0
- Similar work to first evaluation but involves a lot more upward management since I was able to handle it solo for my first project
- Market Access Evaluation for Local Pharma Company
- In progress.. Similarly a lot of upwards management.
- Proposal writing for projects
Extra-curriculars
- Something that I am weaker at right now. Pretty much non-existent due to my very demanding job. I would like to understand what I can do to boost my chances

Question:
- What are my chances at schools if I apply for the upcoming cycle and what are my chances if I waited for an additional year? My main goal is to use an MBA to continue my consulting career in the U.S (ideally at the next level). Are there other options besides an MBA?

-Stats: Your undergrad GPA is great, and if you get your targeted GMAT score of 730, it will exhibit your academic potential.
-Work experience: Sounds good. I can find many good elements that will help you craft impactful stories, and I believe you can present many good leadership stories out of your experience. You seem to excel at your work. You will need to speak about the roles and responsibilities and how you contributed to the organisation’s growth and development.
-Ecs: You can mention your hobbies or interests. Talking about the things you're passionate about and which helped make you a better person in any way, it will provide a different insight to the adcoms and make the apps interesting. ECs are not about doing something big, it’s about what are your hobbies and interests, what you just like to do beyond work? So, try to dig deeper and find answers for the same that will show your diverse personality.
Your post-MBA goals are in alignment with your prior work experience, that’s great. You can read this article, it will help you understand how you can enhance your application despite little work experience.
Overall you have a good profile. But your work-experience is low, and if you are thinking to apply with this, you need a very robust professional experience with amazing examples of leadership and impact. I suggest you gain more experience and then apply to your targeted b-schools.

Thank you for your post. A 730 GMAT should make you a competitive applicant for the top 15 schools. Have you taken any practice tests or started studying? Your professional experience looks solid thus far. Great to see that you have strong examples of leadership and have included tangible results.
In terms of your extracurriculars, this is something you should begin to focus on as soon as possible. By putting in the effort now, you will have ample opportunities to add real value before the deadlines this fall and avoid being penalized for not having a track record of involvement and leadership by the time summer comes.
Successful applications share a consistent and impactful story. MBA admissions committees should instantly see who you are, what has defined you and why you have made specific choices. Choose an extracurricular that you are passionate about and that fits with your story (quality over quantity here). You do not need to pick the most unique or prestigious charity. Instead, do what you love!
