Hi Critical Square,
I am a 27 year old male from India. I am looking for an MBA with specialization in Marketing. Below are my credentials.
- 27-year-old Indian male
- GMAT 1st attempt - 590 (56%) Q40, V31
- GMAT 2nd attempt - 690 (86%) Q46, V39
- 51% aggregate in engineering with 2 years of academic gaps or drops due to failures
- Worked for 3.5 years in Business Development; 2 of those years were spent in a startup as an early employee heading the marketing and operations
Extracurriculars:
- Part of the College committee for 2 years
- Part of college soccer team
- Won 4th place in Technical Symposium for innovative robotic project
Goal:
Short term - Middle or managerial level as a Brand Manager
Long term - Setting up my own Marketing consultancy firm or Chief Marketing Officer of a top 10 company

Thanks for sharing your information! Your academic profile is below average for top 15 programs. Some programs between 15-20 may fit, but realistically, you're looking at schools in the top 20-30 for aligned programs. Your work experience sounds like you should have a lot of strong examples/anecdotes for leadership and impact. What type of involvement (in your community/extra curriculars) have you been a part of since you graduated UG?

How does Kelley, Vandy, Georgia Tech Scheller and Boston Uni Questrom sound as options for me? Too unrealistic or I should aim for better colleges? Which do you think would be my best bet?
I'm planning to specialise in Marketing.
