Hi there,

I'd recommend taking a step back to rethink your strategy and the whole reason you're thinking about an MBA in the first place. It's a significant time and financial investment. It's unclear to me what you want to do and why you think your target schools will help you get there. In addition, how do plan to stand out? Assuming you've taken the GMAT once, yes, I do suggest retaking the test. However, it's more important that you get your story straight and target the right schools. I agree with the folks on this thread that your targets are a stretch, but the way we get to a more reasonable set of schools that will still help you achieve your goals is starting back at square one.

Hope this information helps. Feel free to get back to us with the answers to the above questions. Also, check out our free resources to get you started in your thought process. If you think we can help you with your story, sign up for a free consultation below. Best of luck this season!

Hello GC,

Although I agree with most of the advice on this thread, I think your experience with energy sector in the US and Norway could be very unique and therefore appealing for B-schools. Your choices for school seem to be diverse and I'm not sure if you have thought of a strategy behind the target schools? If not, then it would help you to think in that way.

Retaking GMAT might help you, but it won't ensure that you get into your target schools. Even with a score of 760, your chances of admission would depend on your entire story. If you can make a compelling case for an MBA and from a particular school you will stand a good chance.

I can give you more specific feedback after looking at details about your work experience and understanding your motivations for MBA. Feel free to sign up for a free consultation if you think that might help you.

Good luck!
