Hi,
Hi Reachsharad! Thanks for reaching out.I am yet to take my GMAT (planned in march 2017). May i request you to evaluate my profile?
Your work is very good- and almost too good for some US programs in FT realm. I would look also at online and executive options to broaden your options.Quick profile snapshot:
32 year old Indian Male.
Education: B.Tech (69%), EPGDBM (Honours).
Completed Diploma in photography and few other courses from coursera and shaw academy. Also around 7-8 professional certifications (tech and non tech).
Gmat target range (based on mock etc) : 680 - 700
This range is going to make top 20 US programs tough in FT programs. Aim for 730+ if that is your goal. For Europe that would be lessened and for ISB your work over indexes but GMAT not too far off so that could make you competitive. Target schools: ISB, IIM A,B, C. Open for US and Europe as well. Request suggestions on best chance, medium chance and stretched chance schools.
Total workexp: 11.5 years (IT)
Your work experience puts you also in range for executive MBA programs- is that an option you would consider? If so, for US MBA programs the GMAT will be less relevant. No fellowships generally available this route- but your odds of getting into a more highly ranked school much better this way. You could look at some of the programs with global components such as Duke where there is international travel as part of the program. This also allows you to keep working. When approaching getting the MBA with your amount of work experience it will be important to demonstrate that you have clear reasons why the MBA is needed as with this level of work it will be assumed goals should be rather specific.Current job role: Project manager(Cloud Solutions).
Previous Role: Team Lead ( managed a cross geographical team of 8).
Extra curricular: Entrepreneur (established and running day care and pre school), photography (finished in top 20 twice in international competition, won photography competition at office), Completed A1 level german language, Volunteered with a NGO to teach underprivileged kids at shelter homes.

Sharad
