Hi again, Alok - thanks for this additional context! With your current GMAT score, I think Kellogg, Columbia, and INSEAD would be a reach. The other schools you list are more within range. There aren't a lot of 12-18 month programs in the US, but a couple more you might want to consider are: Babson, Thunderbird, and Katz (UPitt).

Hope this helps, and best of luck!

Hello

What is this goal? Understanding this would help me evaluate your profile. I am a product design professional ( Trains, metro trains, trams). My goal is to move higher in the ranks for next few years post MBA. Then to start my own organization as equipment or service supplier to major transportation companies. At stretch I will try to become a train manufacturer myself.

My CGPA is not very impressive. I didn’t have much time to prepare for GMAT. Should I retake? (due to new project it will be very tough to take out time for GMAT) Your quant score on the GMAT is impressive. Since you're in a very competitive applicant pool (Indian males) I think it's important to try to raise the verbal score too if at all possible. However, the target score you need does depend on the schools to which you're applying. I have planned to apply for colleges that have deadline in Feb with 690 & will retake GMAT in Feb end & apply to other colleges hopefully with a 730+ score

I have 2 questions. Which schools I should apply with 690 (planning to apply schools with 12-18 months duration)
Can You help me in finding courses that offer 12-18 months MBA?
Few I know I am listing Kindly add some more if you know.

US
Kellogg
Columbia - 16 months
Cornell Johnson
Goizueta
Mendoza
USC Marshall
Hough Florida
Krannert (Purdue)

SMU Cox
NON US
Oxford (Said), Cambridge (Judge), IE, IESE, HEC Paris, INSEAD and IMD.

Thanks
Alok

Hi Alok,

Thanks for writing! To answer some of your questions/concerns:

What I believe my career goal has been the same for last 3/4 years. I am going for MBA to achieve that. complicated thing is that my goal is not broad. Its narrow. Its very specific. What is this goal? Understanding this would help me evaluate your profile

Even though I have handled foreign clients for 5 year, never got a chance to work from foreign location. But I have worked from client location for more than 2 years in their design centers located in India. Is this going to impact dearly? Not necessarily - this is still valuable experience.

Should I apply with my current GMAT score? If yes what colleges I should be applying for realistically? (My preference is Top 40, Location no bar, 12-18 months duration)
Again, this depends on what yout career goals are, as well as which area you'd like to live in post-graduation

Hope that helps! Feel free to write back with follow-up questions
