Cleared US CFA L1
Work Exp - 2 years till now
Working at McKinsey as Research Analyst for 1.5 years
I provide insurance advisory services to clients. Catering to UK and US insurance companies. I have a market level understanding of insurance of these companies and work on different projects to help insurance clients like evaluate insurance company performance and benchmark them to develop their future strategy, understanding the impact of brexit on UK insurers, etc. Got promoted within 8 months of joining the firm.
Before that I worked at Evaluserve for 6 months as a credit research analyst. Tracked the food and beverage and gaming industry of US.
Extra Curriculars-
I am the co-founder of an NGO organising health camps and donation drives. We tie up with NGO's like Rotary to support them in their big projects. In my college I was the treasurer of my society and managed a team of 120 people.
I would like do to an MBA from a premier B-school in US/Singapore next year.
Goal after MBA: Work at investment bank
With my profile will it be possible to get a premier B-school? Also, is it advisable to do a MS Finance with 3 years of workex (have read at plenty of places that with 3 yrs of workex at marticulation it is better to do an MBA)?

So until you have a GMAT, it is hard to say where I think you could go for your MBA. I think that the McKinsey name will add to your profile overall and that while you are on the lighter side of work for an MBA, there are many candidates who are successful with this amount of work. I think you could do MS Finance but that would not be as versatile degree in long run. My advice is to prep for GMAT, see how well you do and then reach out to see how we can help you. I think with a good GMAT- 730+ you could be a potential scholarship candidate at some of the 10-20 ranked programs and that might serve you even better.
