I am applying for Professional MBA (part time) in schools with 610 GMAT average such as Bauer College.

I am a male, late thirties and coming from Spain. My background is Computer Engineering.

Work experience: 10+ years in one of the majors in O&G services.
    First years as software developer/manager.
Last 4 years as a Product Manager. Noticeable achievements delivering products supporting multi million dollar business

GPA converted to B

First attempt GMAT 550. Q37 V29. IR 4 (Guessed 4 last verbal questions)
(GMAT Prep scores of 640, with Verbal around 40)

Current direct manager who is responsible for the portfolio of products
Former manager who is now responsible for managing partnership between two companies leading in O&G and IT services

Goal to acquire critical business and management skills to grow as a Senior Product Manager and, eventually, have my own business with a portfolio of software products. Current Product Management knowledge learnt on the job.

I have been invited to interview

Is this a solid application?
Should I retake the GMAT to get it above 600?

Thanks in advanced.

Thanks for sharing your work experience. 550 is pretty low even when applying to a PTMBA. The focus for admissions at these programs will be your work experience but your GMAT still matters. I would recommend retaking the GMAT and getting closer tot he avg score to best maximize your chances
