Hi, I'm looking forward to get admission for Supply Chain/Operations management program.
I'm Indian male (23), didn't give my GMAT yet (target 700+).
Working in Manufacturing sector at Infosys - 2 years WE:
+Was one (& youngest) among 5 others (out of 250 employees) to receive annual recognition award
+Improved application process which aided in significant increase in client satisfaction with analytical skills and root cause analysis
+Effectively reduced the number of service requests per day from 8 to 2 with analytical skills and root cause analysis
+Saved 60+ hours of monthy manual effort by automating perfunctory tasks
+Anchor and lead the automation drive in our team
+Supervise and train a team of three fresher recruits, received commendable feedback for transforming them into professional individual at work
+Well known as a trustable team member, ethical person at work, a person to reach out for sharing personal issues or for motivation
+Volunteer for blood donation camps at campus, coordinate and arrange team parties, participate in sports events
Mechanical Engineering from Anna University - 7.6 CGPA:
During graduation, participated in sports events, academic workshops, volunteered to coordinate and arrange visits to old age/oprhanage homes for 3 semesters, did an internship and played a pivotal role in construction of new launch pad as a part of final year project work at ISRO, which was appreciated well from Deputy Manager at ISRO as well as university professors for completing 45 day project work within 30 days.
XII - 97%, X - 9.2 GPA:
Have pretty good extra curricular participation and winning, was School Pupil Leader for an year, was part of National Cadet Corps for two years and participated in two national level camps and also volunteered for various NGO activities.
Motivated, provided guidance and tutored one of my friend to improve his score from 60% to 90% in his Higher Secondary Schooling examinations.
I'm open to do an MS/MBA program, I would like to know if my profile is suitable to get into a renowned university.
I think you'd be better off continuing to work for another year or so. Then apply to top MBA programs and use time now to study for GMAT. I would aim for 730+ GMAT2. If I'm planning to join by the end of 2019, which universities should i be targeting so as to have good chances of getting admit calls?
If you get a great GMAT, look at some programs where you are 20 points over on their avg score-- you will pop from crowd and may get better odds. For supply chain-- and potential job opportunities with places like Amazon-- who hires lots of MBAs and does sponsor visas-- you can get that option from many MBA programs.
