Basics
26 year male Indian
Xth = 80.2%
XIIth=85.5%
GPA = 7.83 (Mechanical engineering from good private Indian university)
GMAT :680(q47/V36 abysmal IR -1 ,AWA-5)
Work experience
1)5.3 years till now in a thermal power plant (core operations) handling operations of 2 x 300 MW power plant at Dhariwal infrastructure limited: a subsidiary of CESC ltd :high risk job :company listed in red category.
2)offsite exposure:
2.1 : commissioning and operational readiness of 2x300 MW units at Haldia ,West Bengal(Haldia Energy Limited,a subsidiary of CESC ltd )
2.2 : At Krishnapatnum (single point contact with bothra shipping group(port services and coal handler) regarding smooth receiving of imported coal. )
3)Member of contingency team- providing help and suggestion at various departments of plant helping departments to smooth their functioning (worked in almost 5 departments (during my tenure in the Environment department : the plant was awarded the green star award by Maharashtra Government ).
4)Promotion : twice
5)Rewards and recognition
5.1:Received many accolades and most number of spot recognition awards in the entire plant.(some times teased at search dog )
5.2:Twice won the employee of the month.(highest DSM earned of Rs 1.2 crores for a month )
5.3: Twice won best technical suggestion of the month
Extracurricular
1)won essay competition at corporate level 5 years in a row .
2)Organised annual meets, sports meets and technical meets for company along with hr team as a part of personal interest (love event management)
3)Organised fests and clubs at college level also.
4)Junior corporate level badminton and cricket player but had to leave due to injury
5)Actively involved in companies CSR activities for helping the villages and poor children(our new project is of village digitization)
6)My personal CSR project village dhaba at industry : an initiative where the neighboring women bring food (jhunka and bhakar) made from there home and sell to company staff.

Thank you for your post and for sharing your profile. You have a very interesting profile with a lot to boast about. That said, your profile is only as good as your goals. What are you looking to achieve with an MBA? What sector are you targetting?
From a metrics perspective, the challenge I foresee is your GMAT. I recommend retaking to not only increase your overall score but also your IR. It will be very difficult to get into a top program with an IR of 1.
