Hi Team,
I am Chirag, a Software Engineer based out of India.
I have 3 years of work experience - the first 2+ years at Oracle as a Software Developer. My focus areas have been on the lines of improving efficiency by making tools. I have worked on diverse technologies and have also worked in the design and architecture of products. I work as a Software Engineer at Microsoft since the past year in Azure CXP team. I found this role particularly interesting as it is the one that is responsible in understanding the Customer and Community Experience of Azure and working towards making the experience better.
I believe that the first role that I worked in, helped me develop a solid tech foundation and the latter role helped me understand the users(customers/community) part of an enterprise level product.
I have held positions of leadership in both the organisations (including acting team lead / manager) that I have worked at.
Please let me know which universities I should be aiming for.

- I have a GMAT score of 750(Q51V41).
- I did my bachelors from IIT (the best Engineering University in India) with a CGPA of 8.59/10.
- I have 3 years of Work Experience.
- I am 26 years old.
- I am a certified and licensed Paragliding Pilot.
A few more miscelaneous points :
- I have Co-founded a startup and worked as its CTO for almost an year during my bachelors.
- Also I have worked as a Teaching Assistant to junior year class for a course.
- I have also worked for a non profit organization, teaching underprivileged children basic Science and Maths.
- I have worked as the Technical Head of the technical fest at my university, supervising a team of developers.
- I was also elected as a mentor to fresher year students.
- At my previous organization(Oracle) and my current one (Microsoft), I have been a part of various Recruitment Events and have interviewed candidates for the same profile as I am working in.
- Also I have delivered a TechTalk to a team of 60 developers over a new technology.
- I have been assigned as a buddy (mentor) to new hires in my team.

Thanks for reaching out. I see lots of strengths in what you shared. Sounds like you've been progressing well at work, and of course being at a global/well-known firm is helpful. It is good you have taken advantage of opportunities to contribute to recruiting, mentoring, etc. Your GMAT and GPA stats are great, and with 3 years experience now, you're at a good point to apply. The pilot accomplishment is cool too! The potential challenges I see are 1) as I'm sure you know a competitive demographic of tech applicants from India and 2) it seems that some of your volunteer / startup work outside of your employers is not as recent. So if there's anything you can restart before you apply, that might help to show a long interest in giving back and a continued entrepreneurial drive!
Broadly speaking, I think you could target schools in the 10-25 range in the US. I think Top 10 will still be challenging though perhaps you could pick a school in that range as a reach. What's missing from your post though is why you want your MBA and what your post MBA career goal plans are. That's a big factor in selecting schools, as are other preferences you may have. I encourage you to do some research (including some links below) to develop an initial list of target schools and then you can narrow from there.

Thanks for replying. Yes, you have rightly pointed out that my volunteering work doesn't include anything very recent. I am however a part of a team in Microsoft that takes care of the community - does that count ?
I am very passionate about Product Management. The whole process starting from the inception, design, architecture till the understanding of the pulse of the users using it and making the product better based on it fascinates me.
