Hi
Raven78,
Thank you for sharing and congrats on the strong GMAT score.
Do you anticipate applying for 2022 intake? While a lot of MBA programs have no minimum work experience requirement, applicants have 3 to 6 years of pre-MBA experience on average.
One of the most important things that determines whether you have sufficient experience is what you do for work. For example, consultants go to business school younger than most because the experience is considered richer due to the nature of the work, # of different projects/clients and fast-paced environment.
Personal MBA Coach would be happy to learn more about your project management role to give a more candid opinion as to whether you have had enough experience to get accepted and excel in b-school.
Your extracurriculars are certainly impressive and can be another way (outside of your professional role) to show leadership.
In terms of target schools, Kellogg has been a longtime leader in marketing, so it is definitely a good idea to start there. If you want a more analytical approach to marketing, look at Wharton.
Personal MBA Coach recommends targeting 5 to 8 schools to maximize your chances of success, so you will want to build out this list. Take a look at US News and World Report's list of
Best MBA Marketing Programs to explore more programs. If you want to go the Business Development Route, Berkeley Haas has a strong
program that would be worth looking into.
Choosing specific programs depends heavily on your personal circumstances and goals, as well as your desired school culture, location, and areas of expertise.
Personal MBA Coach regularly helps candidates select the schools they want to apply to via our
comprehensive packages, and pick the right business school offer to accept at the end of the application process.
As a launching point, we suggest reviewing statistics such as acceptance rate and average GPA and GMAT of enrolled students to get some good benchmarking data. However, use these numbers as an initial guide only, as the whole applicant package matters, and plenty of candidates with a lower-than-average GPA or GMAT will get in each year and vice versa.
Next, ask yourself what kind of environment you want to be in, both geographically and in terms of school culture and curriculum. Do you want a small close-knit campus where everyone lives and studies nearby? Do you want to consider the entire city your campus? Are learning teams important to you? Do you thrive with more hands-on opportunities? These are just some of the many questions you should contemplate while narrowing your school list.

Hi Experts,
Please evaluate my profile and suggest some B-Schools I can target.
Demographics: Indian, Female, 23
Education:
Undergraduate GPA - 6.87/10 ( Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering) from Tier-2 University
12th - 97.4%
10th - 9.8/10 CGPA
GMAT: 760 (Q49/V47)
Work experience: Total of 17 months as of now
1) Systems Engineer at an MNC (10 months)
2) Project Manager at a Startup (7 months)
I started as a Systems Engineer at an MNC. The work was monotonous.
So, I started looking for a role where I can have a hands-on pre-MBA-related experience.
I had three months of a gap during the shift. During which I collaborated with the local weavers and started an online platform to sell handmade clothing materials made by them.
Later on, I joined a Startup that works on Computer Vision Technology, where I was the first employee to start working with the founders. Being here, I got a chance to take part in every activity and decision-making. For instance, hiring the team, building customized projects for potential clients, marketing, and managing the team members. Now we're a team of 21 members, and my role includes Project Management and Team Building.
Extracurricular activities:
1) Team Lead for a club named Corporate-Relations for college Tech-fest, where we organized specific events every year.
2) Member of National Social Service at College.
3) Member of Maths Club at College
4) Participated in Start-up weekend, organized by Entrepreneurship Development Cell at college.
5) Working with a team named "Helping Hands", based out of my home town to provide covid related assistance to the needy people in our surroundings.
6) Initiated an online platform to sell handmade clothing materials, made by the local weavers around my hometown.
7) Initiated a Covid-Helpline to assist the patients and connect them directly with donors/ medical suppliers.
Post-MBA goals: Looking to work in Marketing and Business Development related roles.
Is my profile good enough to be considered for the top 30 B-Schools?
I understand that I have comparatively lesser work experience. Could you suggest Dream, Target, and Achievable schools, despite having this backlog?
Please suggest how else I can work on to improve my profile.
