Hello all,
Thank you for taking the time to help me out - Looking for some thoughts on my profile and next steps to take on my MBA journey.
I am looking to attend Booth's weekend program (apply for Fall 2024 intake) or Ross' weekend program (2025 intake).
Profile:
- 3 years of work experience at an automotive OEM in Metro Detroit. I have been working there since graduating from undergrad and went through their rotational program, experiencing 4 different supply chain jobs in 2 years (1 role in supply chian, purchasing, logistics, and at an assembly plant), so a lot of experience in a short amount of time. I now work in containerization.
- Also lead a team of 10 people to manage the program that I was going through (think onboarding the new graduates, planning meetings/events/etc for the program, working with HR)
- I have my Six Sigma Green Belt
- 3.9 GPA
- Majored in Supply Chain (at a top 25 program)
- Minored in Spanish and my concentration was Data Analytics
- Speak spanish and some Portuguese
- 640 GMAT Classic
- First generation college student
- 25yr, F
Would really appreciate any feedback and thoughts on my profile strength considering my goal programs. I am worried about my GMAT score. I have received advice both to keep pushing for a better score but also not to kill myself over doing multiple retakes considering it is right in the general admission range. I don't want it to be the reason that I dont get into either program. I am currently studying to take the Focus version and am obviously aiming for a better score, but my practices are not scoring significantly different than my classic score, at least for now. My biggest conflict with it all is that I want to take the time to do my Booth application really thoroughly, however if I stop studying to apply in time for the fall deadline, and don't get in, I feel like I will be kicking myself for stopping my studying momentum and having to backtrack to try to improve my score for applications in the fall/winter.
Again, apprecaite everyone's insight!
Sincerely,
a very stressed MBA applicant
