Hi Paul! Thanks for replying. This invaluable service is appreciated by those on this forum. Just an update, I ended up scoring a 760 on the GMAT this past Saturday. I know you had some reservations about my chances at Harvard and Standford, and I tend to agree with you (10% acceptance rates are scary). However, will the fact that I scored highly on the GMAT improve my chances at those schools, taking into account the rest of my profile? Thanks!

Yes, it is a very strong score that will improve your chances at these and other schools, but understand that what makes Stanford and HBS so tricky is that they ding people with 760 GMATs all the time -- they want something 'special'. You may well have it; I certainly wouldn't discourage you from applying to those two schools.
