Jon,

Thank you for your quick reply. With my background, there is no reason why I shouldn't be able to get my verbal score into the 40s; however, I think the Quant is about as good as it is going to get. I spent months studying the quant and honestly paid little attention to the verbal section at all. I will absolutely take your advice and retake it in June.

As for extracurriculars, I am on the board of Generation Morgantown, a chamber of commerce subsidiary dedicated to volunteer work and attracting young talent to the area (I am the government affairs guy - surprise...). I recently moved back to West Virginia from Washington, D.C. so I haven't gotten plugged into any volunteer organizations yet, but when I was in college, I regularly volunteered to mentor kids at local elementary schools, participated in Christmas party toy drives, and did a few days of manual labor restoring some non-profit buildings when I could get leave to do so. I also played lacrosse in college, currently play rugby with WVU's club team, and have intermittently done Brazilian jujitsu and mixed martial arts since wrestling in high school/middle school, but I'm not sure all that's worth mentioning.

Hey hey,
Good to hear from you. Well, get that GMAT up a bit, and get a bit plugged in if you can in DC (its an election year!!! should be plenty of stuff to do :) ) do that and you should be doing the best to make your profile as strong as it gets.

Cheers
