Thank you for your quick reply Linda!
In terms of programs, what would you recommend I focus on when comparing UCI vs USC fully employed programs?

From the numbers alone, the UCI program is much less pricey and assuming I get in, I would be able to start in Spring '10 instead of waiting a full year to start in Fall '10.
Personally, I would like to start sooner than later, so right now I'm leaning towards UCI because of the Spring start and lower costs. Is this the right way to go in terms of weighing options?

thank you again!
chris

You're welcome.

I would look first at opportunity and placement when you graduate. You may not want to change jobs, but if others can get jobs in your field clearly the education and network that you want are there. Second, and closely related, is the curriculum itself. Does it interest you? Excite you? FEMBA programs are hard. It's hard to go to class after a day's work or do homework after a day's work. Which curriculum appeals more.

If the two programs are pretty close in terms of opportunity, then follow the money...that stays in your pocket!

Best,
Linda

Thank you again Linda! In regards to applying R1, R2, etc. could you direct me to a good thread on the strategy behind it. I'm having some difficulty trying to figure that aspect out.

thanks,
chris
