28 year old male
2.21 UG GPA from a lesser known school with a B.S. in Information Systems.
One of my parents passed away and I was working my way through school. Decided after graduation that I needed to get myself together and focus on my career and bettering myself however possible.
6+ years of progressive experience in the IT industry. 2 with Fortune 50 retailer, 2 with major global IT firm.
Currently in a Lead Analyst role with a top 10 Fortune 100 industrial company.
3.87 graduate GPA from a well-known engineering state school with a Masters in Information Technology.
Currently studying for GMAT. Practice tests around 650. 10 weeks left until test day.
Part owner (10%) in a start up IT marketing company.
Multiple IT certifications
My current analyst role has opened my eyes to the management and operations side of IT and I can't get enough of it. I believe an MBA would help me in becoming the best analyst I can be and opening doors in my career that lead to opportunities in IT architecture and management.
Part-time programs in order of preference:
University of Richmond
Virginia Tech
William and Mary
Virginia Commonwealth University

Thanks for sharing your profile. Although you had some struggles in UG with a very low GPA from a lower ranked school I believe you have bounced back nicely with a very strong grad GPA and some really solid work experience and seemingly developed a passion for IT. Your explanation for your UG GPA will align with your subsequent strong performance as a grad student so utilize an optional essay to directly, and concisely discuss this. PT programs tend to be less focused on UG GPAs anyway with a greater reliance on your work experience and how the specific program can help you reach your development goals. In this regard your interest and potential impact on your career will be clear.
So with that said you should be in range at the schools listed given your profile listed.
