Im a 24 year old male from india.
Education
- Computer Science engineering degree from a government college in india. GPA - 3/CGPA - 6.6.
Work ex
- 2 years at a software development company based in india.(One of the top mobile development companies in india)
- Joined the family business 2 years back and currently in the role of senior manager and also the sole heir to the company. The business is a textile exports business(primarily to the US) having an annual turnover of 2 million USD.
Interesting profile- gives you a bit of variety from othersVolunteering
-Active volunteer at an NGO (Animal welfare) have taken part in many rescue operations and conducted multiple public awareness and adoption campaigns.
GMAT
Score - 740 Q-50/V-40
Strong score that should be on the less crowded side that may get you more attention.* can get LOR's from previous managers and clients.
So what do you want to do with the MBA? As that influences school selection. Do you want to work first in consulting?
Or go back and take leadership role in family business? Target schools
None of these schools are "easy" to get into.... but I think with a strong application you could be successful potentially at these programs- of course you are going to want to make sure you call Kellogg "Kellogg!" .... and also just demonstrate that you have done your research on all these programs. I encourage you to reach out to current students to ask them about the clubs and classes that have been most beneficial to them. I also think you might want to add a few safety schools where you have better odds of scholarship and some of those would be Kelley, Emory, Georgetown, maybe UNC Kenan-Flagler. That's not to say you should not also apply to these schools you mention, but I don't see any scholarship options from these programs and if that is something important to you, you should broaden your list.
