Hello,
can someone please help me?
I am 28yo, male, Italian, with almost 5 yrs of work experience.
I graduated in Engineering in 2009 from the Polytechnic University of Milan (GPA 4.0 - 107/110), and thereafter I worked 1 year as Business Strategy Analyst in Finmeccanica (the main Aerospace/Defence italian player). Then I joined Deloitte, where I have been working as a Management Consultant in the last 3 yrs.
I got an higher tha expected GMAT score: 760 (V:49, Q:45, IR:5)
Since I would like to work either in the luxury or in the entartainment industry, my first options were SDA Bocconi (Luxury Business Mgmt track), UCLA, NYU Stern. Now, given my GMAT score I was thinking about applying to a tier-1 school, but which one?
Can you please give me some advice?

You can totally go for Top 10. The question is: Do you want to wait till next year? Or are you in a mad rush? You'll have better chances next year R1, but well... it's next year. On the other hand, if you take it slow and easy, you will likely get into a better program.
I don't think you need to settle for less than Top 10 (or INSEAD/LBS in Europe). For Luxury/Entertainment, obviously big media cities like LA, NY, Paris, London are all awesome: So schools like NYU, Columbia, UCLA, HEC, INSEAD, Oxbridge, LBS can all be great choices.
You also can have the chance to do some joint programs (like Film/Music production (MFA) + MBA) if you are interested.

First off - congrats on an amazing GMAT score! Well done!
I agree with Jon - you’ve got impressive credentials, so clearly top-10 schools are within your reach. To clarify, while there is some overlap between luxury brand management and entertainment, I think it’s a good idea to figure out which industry you want to pursue, then think about the schools. A then B.
For luxury brand management, give a thought to where the roots of the luxury brands come from in addition to where you’d like to end up geographically. If you want to wind up in the US, schools like CBS and Stern offer great options. But, if you want to work for some of the premier global luxury brands, options in Europe may be more appealing. For example, HEC Paris not only has a specialization in luxury goods, but is also home to many of these premier global luxury brands. And when it comes to career placement, that's pretty awesome, right? If you choose the media/entertainment route, you might want to consider Kellogg in addition to those listed above by Jon as they have a strong Media Management Program.
