Thank you very much for taking the time to evaluate my profile.
1) Work experience:
Litigation/Economic consultant (3 yrs) at a well respected litigation consulting firm (have good record of Top MBA placement)
-- Damage quantification in litigation (modeling), complex financial analysis, expert report preparation for Fortune 500 Corps in various industries and large non-profit organizations.
-- White collar crime investigation (mostly accounting related)
2) GMAT
Will take in 6 months - expecting 700+ (Hopefully 720+).
3) College info
Drexel University - 3.92/4.00 GPA, Accounting and Finance
4) Significant college and post-college extra-curricular activities or community service, especially leadership experience.
Be honest, not too much here. When I was at school, I was in some business honor societies and finance/accounting clubs. I actively participated in company sponsored community service event mostly helping children at low-income families. I do have a strong leadership spirit. My co-workers (usually same level as me) always come to me for opinions and advises either for work or non-work related topics. I did do a very interesting project for a well-known non-profit organization. (It'll be greatly appreciated if you could suggest how I can improve this)
5) Important certifications like CFA, CPA, FSA, or CA.
I am a CPA.
6) Target programs
Top Finance Programs - HBS, Wharton, Booth, Stanford, Kellogg, Haas etc.
7) When you plan to apply?
R1 2015-2016
8) Your post-MBA goal.
Private Equity or Venture Capital
In addition, I believe I have an interesting personal story to tell if given the chance during the admission process (Cinderella type of story).

It looks like you’d be a viable applicant to top programs, assuming that you score in the 720+ range on the GMAT. That means they'd be reasonable reaches of varying degree.
One factor that will be important is the quality of your experience – the “where” and “what” are interesting, but you also need to demonstrate a track record of high impact and leadership (direct or indirect) within this role and organization.
I suggest finding ways in each application to convey your apparently compelling personal story – and link it somehow to your professional success and your goals (perhaps in terms of values, personal qualities/character, etc.).
I’m not quit clear about your inquiry regarding the non-profit project – how I could help? I don’t know what it is exactly… I can certainly advise you to discuss it in your applications, but also show how it’s important to you.
Each application will present different ways and opportunities to share your distinctive experiences and story, depending on essay questions, application format, etc. Be thoughtful about each application to make the most out of it.
