Good question...I would say that the best career goals are the most authentic and fortunately enough for you I think your revised vision makes a ton of sense. It shows that you have reflected on your past experiences (and failures) in entrepreneurship and that you are focused on learning. As you know entrepreneurial firms value actual real operational experience over anything else even management consulting experience. So a school like Stanford that has always had an entrepreneurial bent to it because of its close proximity to Silicon valley should totally understand this.
