If you wouldn't mind, I'd appreciate your advice.
Here are my basic details
Age 27, White Male
GMAT 710 (v.41 q.47)
Last two years undergrad GPA 3.88
Cumulative GPA - approx 3.36
I started my undergrad at a private school in California, dropped out and then finished at University of Phoenix at night, in the classroom - NOT online - 2 years later. Phoenix has a horrible rep, and I'm hoping it doesn't kill my application!
I dropped out to work in the .com boom during the late 1990's and early 2000's. I took a job with a high-tech web firm, after it crashed, I started consulting with my current employer. After 1.5 years as a consultant, I was hired on full time, then completed my BS in Business Management.
Work experience, 7 years full time employment.
Promoted 5 times at my current company - currently in "management"
My positions include 3 in Information Technology( Engineer, Sr. Engineer, Lead Engineer) then 1 as a Sr. Analyst in Finance and now my position in Management (Forecasting)- I run an international team of six.
I have great recommendations, and corporate support for my MBA.
Outside activities - very active in my church (youth, band etc...), wake/snow boarding and other fun things along those lines.
Target Schools - Kellogg, Berkeley and Chicago (All part-time programs)
I'm banking on my GMAT to "override" the reputation of Phoenix. Coupled with great essays and a myresume, I'm hoping it is enough. Any suggestions?
