Kellogg One year - Will this help in getting consulting job with nice pay

2 Year MBA, the length is a issue. Have to study core courses again.

Hello Xerriorist,

Thank you for your post. An MBA is definitely a great place to start if you want to switch careers, and in your case, go into consulting. Kellogg’s one-year program could be a viable option, but it is important to note that one-year programs provide fewer networking, recruiting and community building opportunities. However, if you feel that you can’t afford to take two full years out of the workforce, this could be a good choice.

You have some other good programs on your list as well. Where else do you anticipate applying? On average, candidates are applying to 5-8 schools, so you may want to consider adding a few more programs to your list.

School selection is one of the key components of Personal MBA Coach’s comprehensive services. Do not hesitate to take a look at our offerings and reach out to [email protected] to further discuss your situation. We work with a lot of Indian candidates and would be happy to provide guidance throughout the MBA application process!

Hi Xerriorist,

You can not get everything in a program. You will have to see your preferences. Your primary goal is to break into consulting while living in India post-mba. So, the best program is ISB. You can also have a good ROI and will complete your mba within a year. But you will have to compromise on global experience and diversity. However, if your major goal is to get global experience from an MBA, then HEC or the other global programs can better suit you. So, I suggest first clear about what you really want from an MBA, and only then you must find programs that fit those aspirations. If you’d like, you can read the article on How to choose the right MBA program to get some insights.

I hope this helps!

Let’s maximize your chances in Round 1 for fall intake

Cheers!

I reply appreciate your reply but Insead is expensive program at 90k euro with not good salary seeing their placement statistics report. ISB is good school but its lack diversity and majority of class is engineer which is what I'm trying to avoid. MBA is way for me to enter into consulting. I don't think brand makes a difference unless you graduate from H/S/W
