Hello, and thanks for your help
I am a Military Officer currently deployed in Afghanistan. I have about 18 months until I am out of the Army and I want to continue to grow my leadership skills by pursuing an MBA.
Age: 30 (32 when I will start)
GMAT: Have not taken yet, but I'm scoring around 700 on practice tests. Still have about 7-8 months to study.
GPA: Undergraduate - 2.6(ya I know)
I have taken 4 classes online(Accounting 1 & 2, Statistics and Macro Econ) and received A's in all. I have a few more I want to take before I get out.
I will have 7 years of military service when I get out. The first 3 were enlisted, the last 4 as an Officer, including 2 tours to Afghanistan, both in leadership positions.
I have some community service with Habitat for Humanity, and a leader in a local running club for kids. I also had 3 years of leadership roles in my college fraternity.
I know my weaknesses are my undergrad GPA and my age, but I think my essays can explain my problems as an undergrad, and how the Army has given me direction since then. My school choices are Duke, UNC, Wake Forest, Tuck (ya its a reach), and finally UNC-Charlotte. What are my chances with my stats?
Thanks again.
