Hello, i need your prifessional advise
Age – 23, Male
Nationality - Russian
GMAT – 700(92)/Q-49/V-36
TOEFL IBT - 102
Education:
- South Federal university (Top 5 in Russia), Law faculty
- Moscow school of political studies
Professional Experience by Fall 2008 (4+):
- Assistant of the State Duma (Russian Federal Parliament) member/Participation in elaboration of Federal lows, concerning the government support of small businesses and liberalization of banking legislation and number of reforms in national social sphere, analytical researches on the issues above/
- Chairman of “Youth Yabloko organization”(The youth branch of Russian democratic party “Yabloko”), which unionized more then 1000 members. /Managing of the organization and carrying out various political and social projects. Head of election campaign of Russian democratic party “Yabloko” in Rostov region/
- Donskoy Narodny Bank (Regional Bank)? Head of the Government relations and risk-management department /Analytical researches, assessing of political legal, economic risks, negotiations with political and business leaders etc./ and also co owner and member of the boards of “Magnolia” Ltd, which manages a network of small coffee houses in Rostov city.
Interests: Russian classical literature, Ancient Rome arts, figure skating….
The reason I am getting a MBA is because I fell a lack of knowledge in international business, finance, investments and also want to enrich the experience of international communication, that will help me to reach the new stage in career and personal development. My long-tern career goals are strategic consulting or investment banking.
Target Schools : Yale, LBS, Stern, Stanford, Columbia, Oxford, Wharton
Please, give a piece of advise on my chances in R3, R4.

For a 23-year-old you have a pretty amazing profile. Not only is there impressive leadership but your profile is quite distinctive. Though schools like Wharton, LBS, and Oxford will prefer to see applicants with 2 plus years of work experience, the other schools, and especially Stanford, are more open to younger applicants. They hold such applicants to a much higher bar than other applicants, but you appear to be the kind of exceptional applicant they'd make an exception for. And it is usually the exceptional candidates who are chosen in the late rounds. So I would not discourage you from applying to any of those schools, but I would also ask: What's your hurry? Why not wait and apply in the first round next year or the year after when you profile has become even more compelling?
