Here is what I bring to the table:
BA - University of Dayton 2001, major: Electronic Media. GPA 3.21
1 year experience in the entertainment business
2 years experience accounting at a now-defunct entertainment startup
2 years experience, equity sales and trading at a medium sized broker/dealer
Some, but not much managerial experience.
All relevant work experience is in Los Angeles.

27 year old white male, American
What I want to do, eventually is run a contrarian stock fund. Want a MBA to further my career and land a job on the buy-side as an analyst. It is important to me that the MBA program is internationally slanted and has a good exchange program.
The schools I want are UCLA, Berkeley, NYU, USC and ESADE-Spain. Applying at 2nd round deadline for all. What do you think my chances are?

Your numbers are good, but your career path seems a little unfocused (perhaps there's a theme I don't see), your leadership seems a bit shaky, and you didn't mention community. So I will err on the side of caution and say that your chances at UCLA, Haas, and NYU are "decent"--they are probably not true longshots for you, but you are a competitive applicant "with issues." Maybe one, possibly two, might come through for you. Your odds at USC and ESADE are good. Make sure you nail the career switch question in the essays and maximize all leadership stories.
