Hi
mbaMission team
Can you kindly go through my profile and suggest what colleges to target?
Age: 25
Sex: Male
Nationality: Indian
GMAT: 690 [Q49, V34, IR6]. I'm not sure if I can take the exam again anytime shortly and get a 20+ points jump
UG: B.E Electronics & Communication [At a reputed college in Bangalore]
UG GPA: 8.6/10
Work Experience: 4Years in Finance [Have a good story on how I got into the finance industry with engineering background]
2 years at a prop trading firm (location: Bangalore) as a trader - Actively traded commodities futures and other derivatives (Crude oil and its refined products) on global exchanges such as ICE (London), NYMEX (New York), CME (Chicago), Euronext (Netherlands). Have a good understanding of global markets.
2 years at top/reputed investment bank (location: Bangalore) as an analyst - Sales and trading team - focusing on global fixed income and currencies for EMEA clients. Also had an opportunity to travel to London on work for a short duration.
Reason to do MBA: Network. International experience. Formal education in finance (as I currently hold only a technical degree while I'm working in core finance). If a time arises where I need to convince someone to to invest in my fund - having just a technical degree could do more harm than good.
Post MBA: Most likely to continue in finance.
Can you kindly suggest what colleges can I apply to? Preferably in Europe, APAC regions.
I'm strongly considering NUS MBA in Finance - do you think I have a fair chance?
Thank you very much in advance
