Hello
Stratus Admissions Counseling,
I would really appreciate if you could review my profile and suggest me the bschools that I can target. It will help me a lot.
I would suggest your team to my friends and colleagues who are yet to complete their GMAT.
So my biggest concern is I fall under over representative pool of India IT male candidates. However I am confident about my story and extra curriculars.
Here it goes :
Work ex- 3 years(No international exposure )
Company -Accenture
Skill- SAP EWM Consultant (Supply Chain -ERP)
GPA-3.8
Extra curriculars - Decent
GMAT - 740
Story and Recommendations -in good shape
so technically I will not code at all, my job is to understand client's requirements and explain it to the developers . It's a functional role where I need to understand client business end to end and need to fix and issue at the time of logistics using SAP ERP Systems.
My dream school is Kellogg, please tell me if I have a real deal at applying Kellogg and get admitted?
In my research I do understand that Kellogg takes less Indian IT applicants, but if you could provide approx percent of candidates who belong to this pool and get admitted to Kellogg, that will truly help me a lot.
[color=#0000ff]First of all- thanks for your question! I never like to say "never" to anyone as if a certain school is your dream program you should go for it. I obviously think Kellogg is a great program-- I went there myself-- so I can understand why you would like to attend. Kellogg is a very international program so there are students from all around the world, including India, in the program. I would focus on what you can control-- submitting a thoughtful and well-researched application to Kellogg-- and not worry about what you cannot control-- how many other Indian males with IT backgrounds are also interested in Kellogg.
The things you have in your favor are that you have experience with a multinational firm, even if you don't have international experience yourself. Your GMAT is above the average for the program, your GPA is solid. What concerns me even in this brief bit of info is that at 3 yrs your work experience is on the light side and your GMAT of 740 is likely not above the average for other applicants from India-- but the way YOU can differentiate yourself is to do your homework on Kellogg-- and yes-- you can research from afar-- here are some tips on how to do this---

And then also have a plan B in mind-- some schools to look at that I like: Rotman if you are open to Canada-- and avoid visa hassles, depending on what you want to do-- consider Fuqua, Ross, Tuck, Cornell.... I'd really have to know more about your post MBA goals to give you more information but I certainly encourage you to do your homework and also to reach out to us for a free consult if you are considering working with a consultant: [https://stratusadmissionscounseling.com/consult//color]
If not, please suggest me the bschools (top40) that admit indian applcants belonging to above pool. Thank you!
Awaiting your response.
