Hi Jonathan,
You have a really interesting background!
- Being French gives you a small 'diversity' edge
- McGill is a great school and your GPA is solid (it is my understanding that McGill doesn't have the same grade inflation one sees in the US)
Great GMAT
- Your work experience is unique and I'm sure that you have loads of stories that would be great for essays. Are you currently working in the Project Manager role?
- Love the Scouts - long-term community involvement is always great.
On the surface it looks like you have the makings of a strong candidate - but what do you want to do post-MBA? and how will you position yourself and your story to the admissions committee in a way that convinces them you need an MBA to reach your goals?
With a candidate like yourself success really hinges on how you package your story.
In terms of schools - I would not discourage you from applying at H/W LBS/INSEAD but I would encourage you to look at all the top 10 schools (I use the US News rankings personally). Since you are pretty young - a 2 year program with internship opportunities would benefit you a lot I think.
As an aside: Je suis a la recherche de quelques candidats qui veulent travailler avec moi pour round 2 pro bono - voyez mon post ici:
