Hi all, I wanted to get a quick and rudimentary profile evaluation having just sat the GMAT with a pretty poor score of 690 (40q, 42v)
I plan to retake this as it is too low for my target schools in the U.S, and I had minimal prep for this exam. However, I am also interested in INSEAD and really wanted to get an application in for round 3 for the Jan19 intake (this closes on June 20th). I know this is not an ideal score for INSEAD either, but I note they have a lower average GMAT.
My question is: Should I put in an application for round 3 at INSEAD with the 690 score? Or would I be better to try again for a better score and apply in round 4?
Some of my other stats are below:
Personal:
Age: 28 at time of Application
Gender: Male
Nationality: Australian / East Asian
Education:
Undergraduate degrees in commerce and law from an Australian university. Graduated with first class honours in both degrees
Work:
2 years as a corporate M&A lawyer at a global law firm (past role)
2 years as a management consultant, tier-2 firm (Parthenon / ATK / Strategy& / OW) (current role)
I also have relatively strong (but not exceptional) extra curriculars and leadership activities, and aim to use the MBA to accelerate personal as well as professional development
Thanks in advance!
QB
I'd prefer submitting a super solid application with a 690 GMAT in R3 over waiting for Round 4 deadline, when chances of admission due to lesser number of seats available, would decrease in any case.
Go for it in R3. You have the experience that sounds awesome. Now, put it together into a winning application.
