Pros and cons of applying to multiple schools [#permalink]

I'm currently completing part time MBA applications to 3 schools. Each schools ask what other schools am I applying to? Should I say that I am applying to other school or would it benefit me more if the schools think that I'm only applying to their school only? How does the admission committe view students applying to multiple schools? I don't want each school to think that they are not my number one choice.

Thanks

Ah, the age-old question. My take here is just to be honest. Naturally schools can't really find out if you're applying to other schools, but say you're only applying to them. But if they did, chances are you'll get dinged.

Schools know that you apply to multiple schools. The best thing to do is to establish strong fit with the schools to which you're applying and show them that they're a great choice for you. Besides 3 schools is a respectable number, if it were 15 then the schools might wonder.

Thanks Truthringer. I had a phone conversation with one of the school and I told them when they asked.
