Re: Proving volunteer experience [#permalink]
Hello,

Thanks for the reply. I guess I could get it and it shouldn't be a problem. However, most of it is spread over various years and various countries and tracking down people and getting it together could take a while. So I just wanted to ask other applicants whether a written certificate or letter is something that B-schools require as part of the application to prove the experience; so I have an idea how much time account for this during the admissions cycle.

Thanks!

Similar question was asked to ISB adcom during recent ISB live chat. ISB adcom made it clear that they don't need any proofs of volunteer work and that applicants should just write about it in the application. Not sure if other schools have the same policy, but I would probably ask the schools directly whether they need proofs.

Re: Proving volunteer experience [#permalink]
I think that volunteer experience may be verified during some of the background checks after acceptance but prior to matriculation.

That being said, the person doing my background check simply asked for the name of a person to verify your experience, you can preface it by letting them know it has been a few years and so that person may no longer be there or exactly remember your exact participation.

Thank you Narenn and dtse86. This is helpful.
Just wanted to add that I checked with SDA Bocconi on this and they have said they do not require such documents. Hope someone else will find this info helpful in the future.

Thanks again!
