Hi Paul
Thanks for your reply. I am interested in General Management (Major) and Technology management (Minor) in my MBA.
I would like to go back to my home country after few years and work for our branch Ford India as higher level offcial,
I will have more than 11-12 years experience in USA by the time I go back , I know both the parts of the world and I can be of good asset to my company and would like to help my company to achieve their targets in emerging markets and a degree in Management would give me a head start on people management, finance , strategey etc etc .

I have done lot of Mentoring (both onsite and offshore ) for all new people who joined in our Teams both in technology and in client management.
I worked in Microsoft , WA as tech lead for few years. I can get very good recommendation from my Microsoft Project Manager also.

As a lecturer I guided some Engineering students in their final year projects/thesis

I have done my community services thru Ford, but always I was a participant , I haven't championed any of those events. Do I need to do that ? Do I need to get any letter from anyone regarding my community services.

Michigan school needs two recommendation letter , I am planning to get one from my Ford Manager and another one from Microsoft Manager , would that suffice ?

Thank You in advance

Raj,

It's always ideal to show leadership, not just participation, in community activities, so if you can get a leadership role, by all means do so.

Regarding your
reco letters, the Ford + Microsoft mix sounds good. But check Michigan's instructions to see if they permit extra letters. If so, consider getting a reco from a recent community activity in which you had a substantial (and ideally leadership) role.

Good luck!
