Hi Dip050701.

The foundation of scoring high on the GMAT is getting medium questions correct. In fact, you can score around Q47 by getting only medium questions correct. So, practicing medium questions is going to be most of what gets you to your target Quant score.

That said, to score Q48 you'll also need to get some fairly hard questions correct. So, be sure to practice some hard questions as well.

Hi Dip050701,

I agree that to score Q48, you need to nail the easy and medium questions on the GMAT, but don't completely neglect the hard ones in your prep. In fact, whatever study resource you use should present you with a variety of easy, medium, and hard questions.

Hi Dipanjan,

Based on your Overall Score Goal and recent CAT/mock results, you would likely find it easier to pick up some of those additional points in the Quant section and not in the Verbal section. As such, scoring Q50-Q51 should be the goal and you might want to adjust your studies going forward. A little over a week ago, I wrote back to you after receiving your email. If you'd like to continue discussing how you might best proceed with your studies, then I'd be happy to do so.
