Question

To get Q48 will it be a nice strategy to practice sub 600 and 600 - 700 levels questions more than to practice hard questions?

Yeah I guess, it can be achieved even if you done some hard questions wrong,but it will totally depend on the proportion of wrong question especially the easy one.... If you done some easy question wrong then there will be higher penalty than if you done hard one wrong. But you cannot skip practice of 700 level question, since it's a adaptive exam you have to maintain the streak to achieve higher score.

Hi Dip050701.

The foundation of scoring high on the GMAT is getting medium questions correct. In fact, you can score around Q47 by getting only medium questions correct. So, practicing medium questions is going to be most of what gets you to your target Quant score.

That said, to score Q48 you'll also need to get some fairly hard questions correct. So, be sure to practice some hard questions as well.

I agree that to score Q48, you need to nail the easy and medium questions on the GMAT, but don't completely neglect the hard ones in your prep. In fact, whatever study resource you use should present you with a variety of easy, medium, and hard questions.

Based on your Overall Score Goal and recent CAT/mock results, you would likely find it easier to pick up some of those additional points in the Quant section and not in the Verbal section. As such, scoring Q50-Q51 should be the goal and you might want to adjust your studies going forward. A little over a week ago, I wrote back to you after receiving your email.
