All,
Just took my GMAT last week and got a meager 630 (Q47 V30). By no means was this my final attempt and the reason I gave the test under prepared was to experience the test day pressure and accurately gauge where I stand currently and identify areas of weakness.
After the test, I did request for my Enhanced Score Report and below is a summary of results:
Verbal - Score - 30 - 58th Percentile
Subsection Rankings:
CR - 84th Percentile - equivalent to score of 40
RC- - 29th Percentile - equivalent to score of 20 (HORRID)
SC - 79th Percentile - equivalent to score of 37.
I am unsure how to interpret this data. Are the CR and SC subsection scores “inflated” because my RC was so poor? Well to put it in other words, are the CR, RC and SC subsections of the Verbal section individually adaptive? This information is essential for me to better evaluate my performance on the CR and SC sections.
As it reads the split gives me a warm fuzzy feeling about the CR section. But if I have answered low to moderate difficulty questions the performance is not really reflective of these numbers.
Any help will be much appreciated.
