Hi,
I recently scored 660 (M 49, V 31).
I have 3 years of work experience in a reputed IT firm in India. I am working with Media & Information Services domain.
I am currently designated as Backup Lead, Information Security Manger, Business Continuity Manager & Incident Manager for the project.
My GPA is less than 3.5.
In addition for my personal achievements, I have received Best Performer for month 3 times in my work experience.
I would like to remain with IT industry after MBA. I am more interested to enroll in Asian colleges.
Can someone please let me know colleges that can be appropriate for me?
Also I have heard that giving TOEFL or IELTS might be an additional advantage for applicants who would have low Verbal Scores.
Can someone please let me know if I should give one of above two exams?
Hi Abha,
Schools in Asia - It may not be easy to isolate a list of schools in Asia for you unless I know your preferences in terms of your financial commitments, willing to move out of India etc. However, some of the reputed schools in Asia and Oceania that you may look at are ISB, NUS, NTU, AIM, Melbourne, AGSM etc. Let us connect over mail to see if I can provide some meaningful information to you based on your priorities.
Toefl - Taking Toefl WILL NOT compensate for your not so great GMAT verbal score. In case you are not happy with your GMAT, you have the choice of taking it again but do not expect that you can demonstrate that through TOEFL as there is no standard comparison metric between TOEFL and GMAT verbal.
With Best Regards,
Neha Singh
