This is it people :)

I got a 670 on the 6th and last Manhattan CAT
and
I got a 680 on the GMAT Prep Test 2

GMAT score calculator prediction:
Estimated GMAT Score: 690
95% Range: 670 to 710

I feel better prepared this time and it's good to see that the figures back me up.

Final thoughts:
A score of +750 is unlikely. So no point in being foolishly optimistic!
:P
However, 720 is very much attainable.

I have two more days to go and I plan to review my notes during this time. No more practice tests :)

Thank you for all your love and support!

Thank you GMAT Club!

Q:46
V:38

According to percentile ranking table published by mba.com, the above score would correspond to the following percentile rank:

T: 680 [85th Percentile]
V: 38 [ 83rd Percentile]
Q: 46 [ 75th Percentile]

Am I satisfied with 680? Of course I'm not! I would have been satisfied if I scored 48 in Quant and 40 in Verbal!

:D

But after analysis, I realized that I answered 12 questions incorrectly in Quant [9 DS + 3 PS]
and
I answered 11 questions incorrectly in Verbal [6 SC + 3 CR + 2 RC]

I'm happy with my performance in PS, CR and RC. However, I need to improve SC and DS!

For the remaining two days, I'll focus on these areas :)

I am sure if you cut down your SC errors, you'll be above the 700+ mark

Good luck, I am sure you will be able to do it!!

@ Entwistle- I don't want to give any advice at this point of time as you might already have internalized all the strategies and no point in trying to squeeze in last minute changes. But, I'd definitely like to wish you very good luck for your exam.

Dear Readers,
I started this thread on the 5th of January 2011. I find it hard to believe that a little over 7 weeks have passed since I made the introductory post in this thread!

Thank you all for your encouragement, support, love and guidance.

I am a little tensed about the test. Not too much though. I feel a certain amount of tension is good because it will keep me focused and alert. Tomorrow, I shall review the "How to get 6.9 AWA" guide by chineseburned. I'll write a few essays (do the ones I skipped while taking the Manhattan CATs) in the morning. Go out and have a good time in the noon... Get back home and meditate for a while to calm myself.

At this point, I must talk about "realistic expectations." When I wrote the GMAT last Dec, I was damn sure that I would get a +700! But now I realized that back then, I was just being foolishly optimistic! I'm cheerfully reminded about the Bournville commercial on TV "You don't just buy a Bournville. You have to earn it" A +700 score is something like a Bournville... You can't just get a +700, you have to earn it! Right now, I feel comfortable with a target of 710 or 720!

Target Score: T:700 V: 39 Q: 47 [Minimum]

I used to think the same and I was foolishly realistic too, when I last attempted the GMAT. I was tooooooo optimistic! Now, I
m retaking the GMAT :P

All the best Enwistle.
I just read through this whole thread. Loved your writing and your strategies. I wonder how I missed this thread earlier. From what you have written, you seem to have been meticulously and systematically working toward the GMAT. so, the result will definitely be in your favor...keep a positive mind and beat the monster..we will wait for your debrief :-)

Just believe in yourself -- that's what matters towards the end. Also, have an exit strategy:keep track of time after every 8--10 questions and adjust ur speed if u think you are slowing down.
