Great going. My understanding goes haywire for difficult passages. I have to apply myself more for these types of passages. Let's see where I land up.

I re-installed the GMAT Prep Software and reset the tests.
I got the following scores:
Q: 49
V: 42
T: 740
Not bad... But I had seen some of the questions in previous attempts. So, I'd take away 50 from this score :D

Real Score: 690

Oh, and woooooooooooooooohooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

I didn't get a single CR wrong :D

I've taken the average of all my Manhattan CATs and I've realized that there is a 10 point gap between my Quant and Verbal Score :P
So I've decided to do the CR and RC questions from the OG (I haven't done any yet) first and then later take 3 of the GMAT Club verbal tests to gauge my level.

NO CR WRONG. Very nice. I think if you've two strong section (e.g. CR and SC), average performance in other may work enough to get 700+. Not a perfect inference, but may work :).

I think I just got lucky this time. As far as verbal is concerned, I cannot declare any section to be a "strength". However, practice wise, from most time devoted to least time devoted, I'd rank the sections in the following order:

SC> RC > CR

My present strategy is:
Do awesome in Quant [Target - 48] [That would be 4 points higher than my last GMAT performance]
Do good in verbal [ Target 39] [That would be 2 points higher than my last GMAT performance]

That should give me an overall score of 700 with an 80/80 split :)

EDIT:
Oh, yeah! In my last GMAT Prep, I got 7 questions wrong and 6 of them were SC :P

I've to give more practice tests to find out more patterns as you mentioned above. I'm still scared of RC. OG passages were OK with 70-75% accuracy depending on the understanding of the passage, but RC99 is a REAL killer for me with 50% accuracy for first 10 passages. I'll still continue practicing the same RC technique on RC99 too. I hope to get better results in RC.

hmmmmm.... I think I'm getting a bit nervous! :|

Damn... Just when I thought I had my emotions under control, they seem to find their way into my head.

I need to offload some things off my mind to maintain my sanity :D

Here's a day-by-day plan for the next seven days:

Day 1 - Today - 17/02/2011
I got this document classifying questions in the OG into Easy/Medium/Hard. According to the document, there are 68 Hard DS questions in the OG. My target is to do 34 of them today under timed conditions :)
Revise the Manhattan CR book
Read through Whiplash's CR Strategy Document
Read through Whiplash's SC Checklist and clarify points that I don't understand

Day 2 - 18/02/2011
Do the remaining Hard DS questions in the OG
Re-Revise the Manhattan CR book
Read through Whiplash's CR Strategy Document Again
Read through Whiplash's SC Checklist and once again clarify points that I don't understand!

Day 3 - 19/02/2011
Solve all the hard questions in the OG from the CR section (42 Questions).
Read through Whiplash's CR Strategy Document
Read through Whiplash's SC Checklist

Day 4 - 20/02/2011
Take the 6th and last Manhattan CAT (with AWA) *Bites his nails*
Analyze the test.
Read through Whiplash's CR Strategy Document
Read through Whiplash's SC Checklist

Day 5 - 21/02/2011
Work on some extra week areas
Read through Whiplash's CR Strategy Document
Read through Whiplash's SC Checklist

Day 6 - 22/02/2011
Take the GMAT Prep Test 2
Average my score and set my Final Target Score! <<< *Eye of the Tiger*
Read through Whiplash's CR Strategy Document
Read through Whiplash's SC Checklist

Day 7 - 23/02/2011
Do something fun in the day time and a mega meditation session (maybe 3 hours continuous...) in the evening!!! Eat dinner... Sleep!
... Oh, almost forgot:
Read through Whiplash's CR Strategy Document
Read through Whiplash's SC Checklist
By this time, I should be chanting the SC checklist in my sleep :D

Day 8 - 24/02/2011
Post the "How I got from 650 to +700 in Two Months" thread in the "Share Your GMAT Experience" forum [See... That's wish-full thinking right there!] :D

I confess dude... Before I read the Manhattan GMAT RC Guide, I was tackling RC passages in a very unscientific manner! The strategy given in the Manhattan Guide is sound and it works well for me.

Before, I used to run around like a headless chicken when I came across RC passages. Now I know exactly what to do and I think that's the reason why my accuracy improved!

So in my opinion, it's very important to have a strategy :)

Thoughts:
Under timed conditions (120s per question) on answering a set of 10 back to back hard questions from the OG reduced my accuracy level in DS from 90% to 45%. Since this situation is unlikely to be replicated in the real GMAT, it would unwise of me to continue this way. Instead I am going to adopt the following method:
1. Round 1: Solve all the questions again, but this time I'll limit the time to 2 minutes per question.
2. Round 2: Time the problems without keeping a time limit, I'll focus on getting the answer right.

Analysis:
Step 1:
Count the number of questions I answered incorrectly in Round 2.
Step 2:
Count the number of questions I answered incorrectly or took more than 2 minutes to answer in Round 2.
Step 3:
Tabulate and Compare the results from Step 1 and Step 2.

I shall test the procedure on a set of 10 questions and post the results here :)
