Hi,
Just wanted to get an idea of the avg GMAT score requirements for schools like MIT, HBS, Columbia, NYU...for someone who has had about 12 years of solid experience from one of the BIG Five Firms and had a GPA of 3.2. Everyone keeps telling me that 700 is the minimum avg. Is that true even for the 12 years of excellent and global work experience.
The questions sounds a little vague but Any ideas will help.

Most schools divide their requirements into something along the following lines: Academics, work experience, and personal characteristics. While yes you can show intellect and academic ability through your work, it is best shown through the GMAT and grades. For someone with 12 years of experience a recent GMAT is a much better demonstration of current intellectual ability than grades from college.
700 is the average GMAT at most of the schools on your list. Obviously an average means that people are accepted below that number too. If you can, obtain the figures for the 25-75%. The bottom number will tell you how low you can go and still have a reasonable chance -- assuming that the other parts of your app come together.
