Hey Guys, thought I'd throw my two cents in the bowl.
I agree with the cluster approach and the OP definitely put some work into his clustering.
My take (in the above clustering):
IMD is absolutely in the Ultra Elite cluster.
IE, AGSM, and Bocconi are in the Elite cluster. Bocconi and IESE edge out the other Elites, presently (these things do change a bit over time).
Manchester straddles the line between Near Elites and Elites. Lancaster should probably NOT be in the Trans Elite cluster. Warwick (a solid program) should be in the Trans Elite cluster. And the Trans Elite cluster probably is more regional specific for the included programs (excluding Manchester, which should be bumped up).
Regional elites:
APAC - China. It's CEIBS and global elites. Chinese definitely prefer global Elites (including US programs) and enough go to those to provide an edge. Inside China for life? Check out Forbes' MBA ranking specific to China.
- HK-UST; of course counts both in China and APAC.
- AGSM is big in the APAC. UNSW is highly respected (university for AGSM).
- Singapore and overall APAC. INSEAD. Full stop.
German Speaking World (Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein, Switzerland)
These guys aren't big on MBAs. But top business programs are St. Gallen, Mannheim, and WHU. Global Elites are very respected (includes IMD, of course). But no matter the program, you are better off speaking German as well as fluent English. ESMT, probably is worth looking at as well, if you want an MBA.
CanadaDesautels, Ivey, and Queen's. Rotman MBA has potential as undergrad is very respected globally.
