Academics

BBA (Finance) from a tier-3 Indian university.
Graduating in 2026

GPA: 9.6/10, top 0.6% of my class. On a 100% merit-based scholarship renewed every year.

Dual degree in English Literature (8.5 GPA), graduating in 2026. (I took this dual degree because I have always loved studying literature)

12th grade: 93.4%, commerce stream, district topper, 2nd in school.

Research & Publications

2 research papers published as of august 2025:

Financial Literacy and inclusion, with a focus on an extremely backward indian state (published in a peer reviewed, Scopus-indexed journal).

Green Bonds & Sustainable Finance (published in a peer reviewed, ISSN/GS indexed journal).

1 paper on green bonds & greenwashing under review.

Presented at 2 international conferences (management, sustainability themes).

Work Experience (all during undergrad, mostly startup/early-stage exposure)

1.1 years GTM Engineer at an early-stage startup: worked with founder, devised GTM strategies, generated ~₹8 lakh in revenue, built automation workflows, verified 40k+ company data, identified 15k decision makers.

1 year BD Associate at edtech startup: handled 1000+ prospects, grew LinkedIn presence by 1700% in 5 months, supported SEO.

4 months GTM + finance intern at a SF-based product company.

1 month GTM internship with founder of another SF-based startup.

Current: Junior Marketing Manager at a large student-led global org (ex-members include Bill Clinton).

Leadership & Extracurriculars

President of Literary Club: organized 5+ events, hosted participants from 30+ colleges, raised ₹20,000+ sponsorships.

Class Representative every semester since start.

Founded a CV & Interview Prep Clinic at university (reviewing CVs, SOPs, essays).

Multiple wins at intercollege debates, essay writing, public speaking.

Hosted 5+ college fests/events with 65+ volunteers reporting to me.

Volunteering & Grassroots Work

Got accepted to work with a prestigious NGO: teaching math/English to underprivileged students at a government school on weekends.

7 Cups: active listener providing mental health support.

Environmental work: planted hundreds of trees, built composting systems at home, recognized with awards for waste management/composting.

IELTS: 8
GRE: will take this month

Target Programs

UK: LSE MSc Management, LBS MiM, Warwick MSc Business & Finance, Oxford MSc SEE.

France: HEC MiM, ESSEC MiM, ESCP MiM, Sciences Po MSc Finance & Strategy.

Others: Bocconi MSc Finance, NUS MSc Management, SMU MSc Finance.

Questions-

Given my academics, research, and leadership, how do I stack up against typical admits at LBS, LSE, HEC, Oxford?

Realistically, what tier of schools are within reach vs. a stretch?

What else can I do, between now and Feb 2026, to increase my chances of admit.

Target session- fall 2026
Hey Dictaminus, wow—your profile is really impressive! You have a rare combination of academics, research, and leadership.
Academics & Test Prep:
  • Your BBA GPA 9.6/10 (top 0.6%) and dual degree 8.5 GPA are outstanding.
  • IELTS 8 ✅. Since you’re taking the GRE soon, aiming for 325+ with strong quant will put you in an excellent position for LBS/HEC/ESCP.
Work & Leadership:
  • Startup GTM/BD roles with measurable impact: ₹8L revenue, 40k+ data verified, 15k decision makers identified—this is outstanding for your experience level.
  • Junior Marketing Manager role with global exposure demonstrates strong leadership.
  • Make sure to highlight results over titles in SOP/resume—you already have impressive metrics!
    Research & Extracurriculars:
    • 2 publications + 1 under review + international conferences = major differentiator.
    • Literary club leadership, CV clinic, events, volunteering → you’re clearly well-rounded and impactful.
Next Steps (Now → Feb 2026):
  • Consider a high-impact internship (corporate/fintech).
  • Lead initiatives with measurable outcomes → metrics = credibility.
  • SOP: tell the story of academics + research + leadership + impact clearly.

    Bottom line:
    • Stretch: LBS, Oxford, HEC
    • Target: LSE, ESSEC, ESCP, Warwick
    • Safe: Bocconi, NUS, SMU
You already have a very strong foundation—execute these steps and you’re in a fantastic position for Fall 2026! Keep believing in yourself; the numbers, research, and leadership you’ve built are exactly what top programs look for. You’ve got this! All the best !

You have a strong profile. I don’t think except test scores, you can add anything at this juncture.

A word of advice, ensuring your achievements and strength of your profile are communicated cogently in essays and interviews is key. This is where many stellar profile candidates go wrong. Therefore, make sure you prepare on these components very well.

Feel free to connect for any help.

Hi! Your profile is that rare blend of curiosity and creativity, so I want to congratulate you first on following your passions and also excelling while doing so :) You also have excellent leadership and social impact work, which will definitely be a huge plus as well.

As an ISB and Warwick graduate (and also a literature major who worked in edtech!), I couldn't not reach out ahah. I do want to suggest the ISB PGP YL program for you to consider. Happy to chat further to see how our mutual interests could be of help to you.

All the best!
