Hi GMATPASSION,

Generally a professional recommendation makes valid point in your resume as they are from your professional career. Your academic scores are more than enough to depict about your college life. So, we would suggest you to go with the first one 

If you have worked in more than one organization then the best combination would be a recommendation from each place 

Re: Recommendation [#permalink]
You should check the school's instructions regarding recommenders. Some schools don't like academic recs!

2 recs from the same work place might not be so good, if the 2nd rec doesn't add any important info. Maybe you can find another recommender from a different work place, or maybe get one from a client or a peer.

What is better :

1) One recommendation each from 2 different supervisors from the same job

OR

2) 1 Reco from college Prof & 1 from Current Supervisor.

I have the option for both. But I have been out of touch from College Prof for sometime now. So it would take an extra effort to get one from them.

Please suggest.

Hi,

Since you have clearly mentioned that both your supervisors are from the same job bifurcate your projects, achievements and strengths and ask one supervisor to talk about one set and second to talk about the other so that recos dont look similar.

Isn't there any option of taking it from a client/vendor/ program manager etc.
